Cruncher Application and Service.

The Cruncher Solution is a service, not another software application for you to manage.

Cruncher is managed by Cruncher Inc. and used by you. We install, update, and configure Cruncher remotely. We upload your data. We run your Pre Id and we order your tests. Cruncher runs on your server on your network in your district. That means better performance over other outsourced solutions and allows you to control physical and connective security to the server.

Student information in Cruncher, as well as the Cruncher application, is updated nightly. Detailed logs of this process are automatically sent to Cruncher Inc. , any discrepancies can be noticed and corrected immediately.

Cruncher includes pre-id, test results reporting, and web based test results display for state tests (STAR, CELDT, HSEE, etc.) and local assessments

Cruncher

The Cruncher application is a "web-based" application which utilizes an SQL server as its data source. The data is read, from your student information system, and transferred to the Cruncher SQL server. This process is scheduled nightly, and does NOT alter the data in your student information system in any way. Any data manipulation necessary, takes place within the Cruncher SQL database.

Workstation Requirements:
Cruncher requires the workstation be able to access the Cruncher server with web browsing software. Cruncher Inc. recommends the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Server Requirement:

The minimum hardware requirements are 2GHZ processor, 1GB memory, 60GB disk. We recommend additional memory and two physical disk drives for improved performance. We also recommend that you use a major server manufacturer (Dell or HP) for your hardware.
